Management Information System(MIS) Unit

Introduction

The MIS Unit shoulders the responsibility for the organisation of all the relevant data gathering,processing, storage and dissemination in the University. The Unit is under Vice-Chancellor’s Office with the Director reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor.

Responsibilities of the MIS Unit

The MIS Units performs the following functions:

• Collection and storing data on students, staff and pensioners
• Processing such data and producing reports and statistical information for use by the various units of the university
• Production and Issuance of all identity card (staff, student and pensioners) is done at the MIS
• Working in collaboration with the Academic Planning Unit, the Registry, the Bursary and Colleges/Faculties for the accurate and timely production of the above.
• Installation and maintaining the hardware and network equipments in the University.
• Training relevant staff of the university on the operation of the MIS whenever the need arises.
