Giraffe: A new specie of Animal in the University of Ibadan Zoo

The Univversity of Ibadan Zoological Garden has increased her stock of animals. The Garden just acquired a Giraffe. It is worthy of note that the UI Zoo had never stocked this animal species.

The Giraffe (Giraffa Camelopardalis) is the tallest of all extant land -living animal species and the largest ruminant. This lovely animal has on its skin irregular patches of colour on a light background (Vaguely resembling leopard spots )and has a face similar to that of a camel -thus the species name, Camelopardalis

You are welcome in the Garden to see this elegant animal and learn more about it
