INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT (ACADEMIC STAFF POSITION)
PASTOR E.A. ADEBOYE PROFESSORIAL CHAIR IN MATHEMATICS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Pastor E.A. Adeboye Professorial Chair in Mathematics for the 2013/2014 Academic Session.
Applicants must be internationally acclaimed Professors in Mathematical disciplines such as Financial Mathematics, Crystography, Mathematics Modelling, Functional Analysis. Topology and Algebra. Operations Research and Mathematical Physics. Applicants must show evidence of:
 Scholarship through outstanding research and publications
 Exceptional teaching ability
 Leadership in research and postgraduate supervision
 Administrative leadership or competence
The successful candidate must be able to initiate new areas of research, teach and mentor students in their areas of specialization, add value to the existing programmes in the Department, stimulate further research and help with good contacts abroad.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
As approved by the Board of Trustees, the appointment is for one year as a Visiting Professor. The holder will enjoy current level of salary and allowances of a full Professor to be paid by the University and an additional grant to support the activities of the holder (such as funding support for research, conferences, travels, technical and secretarial services, among others) under the auspices of the Pastor E.A. Adeboye Professorial Endowment.
The occupant will be required to give an annual lecture, publish and disseminate research results and organise major seminars/lectures/symposia.
